Meet Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa Fairchild—writer, trauma-informed mentor, faith-led encourager, and the heart behind Hope Rewritten.

I know what it’s like to sit in the ashes and wonder if anything beautiful can rise again.

My journey includes deep grief, heartbreak, depression, anxiety, complex PTSD, addiction (mine and others’), and more questions than answers. I’ve lived through chapters I never asked for—divorce, betrayal, abandonment, loss. But I’ve also discovered something I never imagined: Jesus can rewrite anything.

I didn’t fix myself. Jesus met me in my breaking point, and five weeks later, I was walking in a healing I didn’t think was possible.

Now I use every word, every scar, and every ounce of my story to walk with women who feel like they’re too much, too late, or too far gone. You’re not.

You’re exactly where healing can begin.

Broken doesn’t mean beyond repair.

I’m a mom of three, a grandma to a NICU miracle, a single mom of 22 years, and a recovering codependent learning how to receive love as deeply as I give it. I laugh loud, cry easily, and will always say yes to queso and coffee (though maybe not together).

I hold a BA in English Literature (poetry minor, obviously), an MA in Technical Writing, and a calling to speak life into what the world calls “too broken.”

Through Hope Rewritten, I offer biblically grounded mentorship, trauma-informed resources, and the kind of raw, faith-filled encouragement that reminds you—this isn’t the end of your story.

Want to read my full healing testimony? I’ll post it soon.
