I don’t know what brought you here.
Maybe pain. Maybe curiosity. Maybe hope… or the terrifying fear that hope doesn’t exist for someone like you.
But I want you to know something right from the start — you’re not here by accident.
The same God who saw me wrecked, rock-bottom, tangled in grief, disappointment, and shame… is the same God who rescued me. Not with a lecture. Not with judgment. Not with shame.
But with love.
A love so relentless… it doesn’t flinch at the mess.
A love so gentle… it doesn’t force itself but waits for the tiniest crack in the door.
A love so powerful… that once it touches you, you will never be the same.
Who He Is (and Isn’t)
First — He isn’t sitting up in Heaven with a big list of rules waiting to catch you messing up. He’s just not.
He’s not a Sunday-only kinda guy. He’s the hanging-with-you-at-the-supermarket, talking-with-you-on-a-long-commute, cheering-with-you-at-the-ballpark, line-dancing-at-a-wedding kinda God.
Let me introduce you to my everyday Jesus.
He is the Healer. The Author. The Rewrite.
He danced. He played. He wept.
He is fully God and fully Man.
God’s beloved Son — the One who left Heaven to walk into the broken places of this world and say, “I see you. I choose you. I love you.”
Why This Matters
I tried for years to rewrite my own story.
I tried:
Self-help.
Relationships.
Alcohol.
Performing.
Trying to be good enough… or invisible enough… depending on the day.
But no self-repair can fix soul wounds.
No amount of striving can erase what shame writes on human skin.
Until Jesus.
What Jesus Did for Me
He met me in my mess.
He didn’t wait for me to get my act together.
He stepped into the wreckage and whispered, “This isn’t the end. I’m not finished with you yet.”
He forgave me and helped me to forgive others.
He restored me and helped me feel like I have a purpose.
He healed me from depression, anxiety, and complex-PTSD. They’re just gone.
He rewrote the story the enemy tried to scribble out.
If you’ve read anything about me, you know my story isn’t neat. It’s not polished. I’ve carried abandonment, betrayal, addiction (mine and others’), grief, loneliness, disappointment, heartbreak, codependency… and a thousand labels the world tried to slap on me.
But Jesus…
Jesus swooped in like a Savior. Like the ultimate Avenger. Like the Rescuer I didn’t know was coming. Like the Lover of my soul who whispered, “You are not what happened to you. You are Mine.”
He didn’t fix everything overnight. But He held me through it all.
And piece by piece… He began rewriting what was broken.
An Invitation to You
I don’t know your story.
But I know the One who does. And if He can rewrite mine… He can rewrite yours.
If you’re tired… if you’re wondering if there’s more… if you’ve whispered “God, if You’re real…” under your breath at 3 a.m.…
This is your answer.
Jesus is real. He’s listening. He’s waiting. And He already loves you more than you can comprehend.
A Simple Prayer
If you don’t know where to start… maybe you start here.
“Jesus… I’m tired of doing this on my own. I’ve tried everything else. I’m opening the door… even if it’s just a crack.
I believe You’re real.
I believe You are the Son of God who came to rescue me.
I believe You died for me, rose from the dead, and returned to Heaven… but I also believe You are right here — with me — right now.
I’m asking You to come live in my heart. Rewrite my story. Forgive me. Heal me. Teach me how to follow You. I want to know You… the real You.
Amen.”
